A little care for your candles, reed diffusers and refillable jars.

Candle care

Read and keep the instructions supplied with your candle.

Trim the wick to approximately 6 mm before each lighting.
Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and anything flammable.
Burn for no more than four hours at a time. Never leave a burning candle unattended; keep away from children and pets.
Stop burning when approximately 6 mm of wax remains. Let the jar cool completely before handling.

Remove all packaging before lighting. Do not move a lit candle. Extinguish the flame safely and allow the wax and jar to cool.

Reed diffuser care

Place on a protected, stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat.
Insert the reeds and allow one or two days for the oil to absorb.
Turn the reeds, then flip weekly or as needed to refresh the fragrance. Protect surfaces from drips.
Use fresh reeds with a new fragrance. Keep the oil away from children and pets.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and finished surfaces. Fragrance strength and how long the diffuser lasts depend on its placement and the surrounding conditions.

Refilling your candle jar

Use only a compatible Russell + White refillable candle jar. Never burn a refill on its own or in another vessel.

Allow the original candle and jar to cool completely.
Remove remaining wax and the old wick holder. Clean with warm, soapy water.
Dry fully and check the jar for cracks or damage. Do not reuse a damaged jar.
Place the refill securely in the clean jar, then follow the candle-care instructions.
