Tonka Bean

Tonka bean is all soft sweetness and slow warmth — creamy like vanilla, with a smoky, balsamic edge and the faintest hint of tobacco. Perfumers love it as a fixative: it smooths, blends, and helps a fragrance linger. Harvested from the rainforest fruit of Dipteryx odorata, the seeds are dried and soaked to coax out coumarin’s signature glow.
